Tennessee and other Stuff

After we went to SuperCross, we had one day home and then took off to Tennessee for a week.  I took all the essentials, my conceal gun, Drone and OSMO 4k DJI camera. Overall it was a good week.  We had a two room two bathroom “Condo”.  We had to sit through a two hour presentation where they tried to get us to buy a time share. If we just purchased the time share and were done, we may have done it, but every year they have an assesment and send you a bill.  Anyway, after the presentation, we had the remainder of the week to tour Gatlinburg and the surrounding areas.  It is a very pretty area, but I’m glad we went in the spring and not the summer.  It is a very humid area in the summer.

Black Bears are a thing there… We have all sorts of bears in Idaho, but they keep to themselves in the mountains.  In Tennessee they are like squirrels and are every where.  The first one we saw as rooting around in the dumpster for a resturant in town. It was kind of funny to watch.  They tried to shoo the bear, but he was like “whatever” and got what he wanted out of the dumpter and then proceded a little way up the hill and made a mess tearing into it. (He was probably about 15ft. away from the dumpster.

I got some really cool slow-mo video of Mama and Cub crossing the road.

We also took a fun ride up a ski lift that takes you up the mountain and you have a really nice panoramic view of  Gatlinburg and there is a really cool and long foot bridge that you walk across.

It was a really fun trip and the only thing that I didn’t enjoy was we wanted to go to Anakesta (sp?) and they had a no conceal policy and actually had metal detectors that you had to go through to go on the gondolas. Talon and Stacia went, but I wasn’t walking all the way back to the hotel to get rid of my gun.  It really pissed me off.  Little Cali right there in the middle of Tennessee Gatlinburg.

We also spent the day in Dollywood and went on all kinds of rollercoasters and had a lot of fun. It was a lot of walking, but still fun!
