We went to Utah to do our annual SuperCross trip. We stayed with Kory and Michelle. It was an interesting trip. I was able to fly my drone down near Temple Square and got some pretty cool video and pictures (Including the 360 degree pictures) Got both the Bountiful and SLC temple but passed on the Draper temple because it didn’t have Moroni and looks more like a fancy church instead of a temple.
RaShawn had tickets to go but couldn’t make it because her stomach was causing her problems (probably good she didn’t go considering the next bit), so we took Trev with us. It seems like he follows SuperCross because he actually knew the names of the riders!
The trip up to Supercross was eventful! We drove down to the 300 Courthouse parking lot and then hopped onto Trax. We were about 90% up the mountain and there was a “chunk” and we stopped for about 5 minutes. We then saw some some Trax employees WALKING up the line and after a couple more minutes we started to move again. We got about another 2 blocks and then there was another large “chunk” and the car hopped a little! We then sat there for about 30 minutes before we were transfered to another Trax. Turns out the cowl on the front of the train came loose and the Trax ran over it.
SuperCross was a lot of fun and we got to see some good crashes. Don’t ask me who won, I just go for the crashes.
We had a pretty good visit with Kory and Michelle, but I felt like we were kind of imposing because Michelle’s daughter came into town and had to stay in a hotel because we were hogging up the rooms!
It was a good drive home and we then had one day before he headed off to Tennessee, that will be the next post!
