Talon’s truck started having transmission issues on Satuday of last week. We took it to the shop to have it looked at and they said it would probably cost about $4,500 to repair. Since he is planning on going on a mission in the next couple of months, it didn’t make sense to spend all that money when he is going to have to sell it before going. So, he decided to sell it for $1,700. I’m proud of him, taking pictures of it, getting it listed and coordinating with the people that were interested in it. The first guy to physically look at it bought it. He didn’t haggle or anything and paid cash. So it got loaded on a trailer and hauled off. While I’m proud of him, I’m also a bit sad because I know how it is to have to get rid of your first vehicle. In my case, I always replace my old car with a new one while he will be without wheels for a bit.
