Strange couple of weeks

For some reason, the last few weeks have felt kind of strange. The weather is FINALLY warming up, but things just feel a bit off. I feel like I’m waiting for a second shoe to drop, don’t ask me why.  It is probably just the fact that our usual schedule has been interrupted with the new job and it being different days each week. It makes it a bit hard to plan things. It is also strange being the “Junior” member at the gun counter.  I have been able to keep up the Friday game nights since the schedule has worked out where I’m not working Friday evenings.

Talon has been struggling with his decision to go on a mission.  After talking with him, the biggest issue is that it is to “restrictive”.  Personally, I feel he is scared to leave home and is finding excuses not to go.  I love our son very much and I feel that he would be missing out on not only a great experience but also an opportunity to grow and mature. We will miss him very much while he will be gone, but you need to do what is best for your kids. Talon at this age doesn’t understand the joy that he has brought to me through his life and I want him to have the same or better experiences than I’ve had. (More kids, more joy)

I also got a text from Layne yesterday letting Tom and I know that they will be visiting next week. (I’m sure Jeff knew well in advance since they talk more) I invited them over for a game night.  We’ll see if they take me up on it, but I kinda doubt it. I expect they will bring the RV and “camp” out.

I flew my drone for the first time in several months out in Middleton but my DJI approved batteries weren’t all the way charged up and the upgraded batteries that I bought aren’t allowed anymore because of the stupid DJI software. (It detects they aren’t DJI brand batteries and refuses to arm) So, the video was pretty short, but I got a bit video of the old Middleton house and surrounding area.  Boy it sure has grown since I lived there!
