Feels like a Saturday since we had game night on a Wednesday. 🙂 I’m looking forward to seeing Alton Brown this evening. I’m not sure what to expect, since he is most famous for his show Good Eats. Culinary evening entertainment without a meal. Should be interesting.
I’ll do an update with how we liked it once we get back.
The week has been “strange” as usual. I worked on Tuesday after a week off from Cabelas. At the end of the shift we had to do what I like to call the 9MM aerobics. Since the guns aren’t secured, they have to be secured (put in a secure back room). This process takes about 30 minutes to get them on all the carts and rolling them into the back room. Then we roll a great big gun safe in front of the door using a pallet dolly. I guess the process to put everything out takes about an hour. I’ll find out on Saturday as it is my first opening shift.
Stacia and Talon stopped by Cabelas on their way back from Garden Valley. It was nice to get to see them and they got to meet Hunter (He looks a lot like Austin from HobbyTown) As we were talking, Hunter mentioned that I was the best of the new hires (Gary and Jared). Both Gary and Jared beat me on gun knowledge, but I definitely have them beat in retail experience.
