Talon after his mission call, happened to have a Canada flag on hand!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Talon got his paper work for his mission about a week and a half ago and the call came in on the 22nd.\u00a0 It was a mad rush to get the few people that he wanted to come here on short notice, but we did manage to get Alan Braithwaite and the missionaries there.\u00a0 We got grandma and grandpa on via the phone and Stacia did a facebook live for her siblings and Greg and Tracy were able to join.\u00a0 Not bad considering we only had about an hour to put it together!\u00a0 It was a good event and Talon is going to spend his mission in the Vancouver Canada mission!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His departure date is December 9th for the MTC and will then arrive in Vancouver on his birthday the 30th! He is very excited!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m excited for him and sad for me.  I’m sure going to miss him, but he isn’t my little boy anymore and needs to get going with his life! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier on the same day, we got a call from Jasmine Slone letting us know that the our Quilt was done!  A couple of months ago we particiated in a Ward Auction with the proceeds going to the youth for activities.  A lot of the youth were selling their time for service, but one of the items was to have a custom quilt made from T-Shirts. We won the auction and we originally planned to use Stacia’s shirts but we couldn’t find them. Stacia thinks that they may have gotten thrown away during a move.  Anyway we ended up using my Rock T-Shirts from the concerts I attended in the ’80s.  It was a bit hard parting with them, but the “Devil” rock quilt turned out awesome!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
