Ok, I’m getting or already old, depending on whom you ask. Anyway, last week I went to the doctor for my checkup and agreed to do Colongard instead of getting a full blown colonoscopy. So it arrived yesterday and I had to laugh. If you are easily grossed out, now is probably the best spot to stop reading, just sayin’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anyway, you setup a tray in the toilet with a container that you poop into. Once you complete the task, you take a “stool scraper” and get the poo on it and put it into the test tube and then pour a preservative solution over the stool sample and seal it up. Anyway it was fun reading the instructions and realizing all of the ways people have “messed” it up. For example in the test tube it states not to fill the tube with poo. Also the containter you poo into it states that you don’t need to fill it up! There are several of these things that makes me think of all the CRAP these lab techs have to put up with!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then once I got all my business down and everything properly packaged up, I thought it would be funny to get a hasmat suit to drop it off to the UPS store. I’m sure they have seen a lot of them. But is still seems strange to drop off a “sample” to be shipped. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anyway, the day has been FULL of POO jokes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Got the results from the test about a week after I sent it in and it came back negative for colon cancer. That is good news!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
